I purchased the black version of this sword and was VERY impressed. Blade fits perfectly in the scabbard and is very tight in the Tsuka (handle). Holes for the pegs didn't line up very well but that was an easy fix. Well worth it.

I have quite a bit of woods on my property. Virtually all of it is overgrown with Multi-flora Rose, Black locust and Wild Grape Vines. I have been using this sword to make trails through my woods as a means of sword practice (I could use a chain saw). The sword has held up remarkably. I have cut Black Locust limbs and saplings up to 2", grape vines up to 3" , and it totally decimates Multi-flora. I have finally broken the handle at the back peg hole. I fixed it last night and expect to be back hacking as soon as the weather clears. I have bent it a couple of times on Black Locust, but after bending it back, it works just fine. I don't think you can possibly find a better sword for the price, an it is perfect for me on my bushwacking missions. I have 2 build your-owns and will be buying more.

this sword is good for someone who is looking for somthing different than just plain black katanas. It adds some variety to collection, as well as having great quality for the price.(fully functional)

I was suprised that this thing was double pegged, I bought one similar that was already built, and it was only single pegged. It was difficlut to push the handle on but it fit! Putting the pegs in they fit perfectly. Only draw back was that it wasnt very sharp, but that was easily fixed.
