The blade is very nice and sharp. The lines in the damascus steel are not as pronounced as I anticipated. The wood box is cheaply stapled together. The embroidered bag cover is very nice with beautiful patterns. The tsuba and other ornamental metal is fair, but not high quality craftsmanship, simply cast. Still I believe this sword is worth 300 bucks. I have seen other swords priced similarly without the fabric cover or woddeen box.
