Crafted by CAS Hanwei to a completely different standard of quality than most pieces available, the Hanwei Damascus Taiji jian (SH1013) sword is built around a hand-forged Damascus steel blade, profiled to produce a fast, well balanced sword for the martial artist and an authentic piece for the collector of Oriental weaponry. The matching rosewood grip and scabbard with solid bronze fittings, decorated in the traditional Chinese motif, are meticulously finished in this heirloom quality sword.

Damascus on a budget

'BEAUTIFULL' This sword is really the best damascus steel at a budget that you can buy . I got it because I trust the quality of Hanwei and their legacy to put in your hands an affordable sword. This is so close to a sword made from mr Gassan showing their comiment to quality and price. I own many great katanas from the Paper Crane tamahagane to the tori and the tachi but i wanted to get a real (not fake) damascus steel without dishing out a lot of cash for it.
