Masahiro Akagane Katana

Pros: The leather wrapping and black ray skin are beautiful. The scabbard is also very nice. The blade has a nice hidden hamon which makes it look incredible. Cons: On the red blade, visible to everybody, is a stamp which CLEARLY reads "CHINA", and if you look closer you can make out "MADE IN". This was very dissapointing to discover. The blade is not straight at all, its bent quite substantially, and somewhat twisted as well.

Just got this sword yesterday.... had a bit more of a chance to look at it this morning. The blade is quite stunning. Different to see a sword with a blade that looks copper.... and if you ask me, the leather wrap with the annodized blade looks fantastic together. The display case is quite nice too, although i'd have preferred if the inside of it wasn't just styrofoam blocks with very thin, soft fabric spread across it. Would have been quite a bit more nice if the display case was actually like... maybe a soft foam liner going the full length of both the bottom of the case, as well as the lid, to hold the sword firmly in place when the case is closed, rather than relying on two or four small bits of ribbon to tie the sword in place. Do like how the outside of the display case has dragon decal fabric on it... then again i like dragons a LOT. display case aside.... the sword is top notch. excellent pairing of the wrap and blade, which is quite sharp too. Don't think i'm going to cut anything with it though (especially not birch tree's like i've done with my other sword), seeing as stuff like Metal Glow can't be used on this sword. Think my next thing to buy should be some cutting mats.

this sword is amazing, i found it a long time ago, when i was out of town with a friend, at a sword shop, and i didnt have the money to buy it then, it was about 2 months later i found it here, and yeah, i just got it today, ordered it exactly one week ago. but still, to the blade. Blade- AMAZING, only one bad thing, the blade isnt 100% straight, but one small curve, isnt that bad, its practicaly impossible to tell, but other then that, its amazing. the blade isnt the sharpest. but these flaws are more then likely just my sword. so dont fret it, Hand Guard- is rather stunning, its got a unique shape and form, just beautiful, rather rare, only seen it on two other swords, and they where lean offs from this one. Handle- the handle is amazing, most comfortable sword i have ever held. it feels like your holding nothing but raw power in your hands, and its amazing, not a flaw anywhere else. this is by far the best sword i have ever seen, held, or even heard of. Display Box- is amazing, though you can tell under the silk thats inside it, is just stirofoam, but its still amazing, its just a beautiful box, that shows the beauty of the sword, before you ever even open the box, it also came with a sword bag, witch isnt as amazing, but its still a good way to carry it in public, and be left alone by cops, but this sword is just amazing, it comes with a wooden stand, that is alright, nothing special about it, but still, helps to show that this sword is amazing. THIS IS THE GREATEST SWORD EVER, lol, its rather cheap, and just amazing, best sword i've ever seen, and i've seen atleast a 1000 swords. best sword for any collector.
