Masahiro Yanagi Katana

I bought this sword some time ago now and I am not dissapointed in the least. This is a great buy at it's price. A functional, forged sword that can also stand alone as a show piece. I was a little iffy at first cause it was my first time puchaseing from SOM, but I am happy to say the customer service and willingness to answer my million questions and the quality of the sword it's self have made me a loyal customer. This Katana came to me in excelent condition with a light oil on the blade and all parts fit tightly together with out any problems.

Excellant sword for it's price. My sword also had a slight blemish on the hamon aswell as the person's below me, but it's nothing too serious. I highly recommend this sword to anyone thinking about buying it. 4/5

this sword is sharp, funtional, and well made. Mine had a slight blemish on the hamon and the handle wraping seems like its made of nylon, but other than that, dont wait, buy it. This site had the fairest prices on the internet and in other stores, this katana sells for at least 130 dollars.

I have practiced tameshigiri with this sword, and it is the only one in my collection that neatly cut through a "buddy bottle" with no effort and a perfect cut. Blade is super sharp and it's beautiful to look at too. Functional and Classy. Great buy!!! - Jes

I bought three comparable swords and the Yanagi clearly was the best quality all around, very impressed with the beauty of this sword.VERY SHARP nice hamon also.
