This sword right off the bat was great, but after just a couple days of use, the paint on the handle started peeling off. Now two big blotches of paint on the handle in missing. My recommendation would be to apply the LARP spray on latex coating before any kind of use. This will help protect the paint. Second of all, the tip is quite weak. After using this sword in just a few battles, the tip broke off. So watch out for the tip, and try not to jab or thrust too much. Besides all the downsides, this sword is great for beginners. Just watch out for the tip and the paint. The paint on the blade also comes off, but not as extensively. It mostly just wares off slowly from use. All in all, this sword looks great and is worth what you payed for it. As your first and foremost priority, make sure you apply the spray on latex on the whole sword before you use it! Don't make the mistake that I made of not thinking you need the latex coating!

The sword was shipped in about 4 days, was in perfect condition on arrival. Looks real, and the picture does it pretty good justice. However, it's as hard as wood! It is made of high density foam, but has the weight of a real sword, and does not have any give. Great for looks, but I don't recommend taking a full swing at anybody, as it would leave some serious bruises and inflict some real pain.
