good cutter
gypes37 (Unknown) 12/29/2007 5:30 PM
This sword has a solid and very well made blade, the balance is excellent being its not really mounted and the feel is great. The blade is quite sharp and handles nicely. The saya is a little tight but the fit is good with no rattle and the color is very classy in person. The downside i have with this sword is that it came with a loose mekugi or holding pin and also that has but one holding pin... this sword is meant to be mounted which is the reason for this but i plan on keeping as is. Overall its a great sword and worth the buy.

This is my first musashi product and I am very pleased with it. The two biggest things I can mention are how tight the fit of the Koiguchi is and how wonderfully this sword handles. Recommended for both Kata(loud and prominent tachi-kaze) and tameshigiri(good edge).

GREAT DEAL

For 40 dollars, this cannot be beaten. This sword looks good! Will be a great add to any collection. I'm going to buy another one for my brother. The sword fits tightly in the saya. The finish on the saya and tsuka is great though. The blade is paper cutting sharp. SOM has the best price too, buy it now you won't regret it.

Really impressed with this blade. The fit is great and the finish on the shirasaya is classy. For the money this is a spectacular sword, sharp right out of the box. The habaki does not have the Musashi logo on it which is a plus for me and the etched hamon is notare. The ridge lines are crisp and so is the hi-bo. Really good for a custom remount and you can use the same saya. Thanks Jason!

Good Solid Value
Anonymous (Unknown) 9/21/2007 5:24 PM
Just received my shirasaya. You've got a good solid value in this shirasaya. It beats at least 3 other web site's price for the same thing. A sharp, well-balanced blade and a good saya. There are some minor fit and finish problems, but at this price it's expected. This is a keeper. Carl. G.
