SH2066 -- Dark Sentinel

Combining the slashing power of the Samurai Katana with the agility and thrusting ability of fine European dueling swords, the Dark Sentinel (SH2066) is a handsome sword with a bite. Light and quick enough for single-hand fencing but with the ability to turn on awesome two-handed power, the Dark Sentinel will guard the castle gates against all would-be usurpers - without draining the Royal treasury! The forged high-carbon steel blade is complemented by a studded leather-wrapped grip with a stylized tsuba-like guard. A leather-covered scabbard with steel fittings completes the package.

Paul Chen Dark Sentinel Features:

  • Forged high carbon steel blade
  • Studded leather wrapped grip
  • Fully Functional

Measurements:

Blade: 31 1/2"
Handle: 10 1/2"

this sword is a beast the blade is durable and so far ive been able to slice two inch branches and even a tennis ball in mid flight. the only down side is that the sheath is flimsy it arive cracked but the little notch there was so weak i could tell it was already inevitable.

Great Sword

I am thoroughly impressed with this sword. It's like someone perfectly merged an indian tulwar and a japanese katana. The handle length is about the length of my forearm which is the perfect length for a warring states era tsuka. The blade length is a little long but not too long that it becomes akward to swing.

Weapon of good value
Anonymous (Unknown) 7/18/2008 1:32 PM
Tough, light, and well-balanced best describe the weapon. I've had mine for years and the whole thing is still as solid as the day it was bought. Very good value for the money, and extremely gratifying to wield. The Dark Sentinel loses a star for the scabbard, which is good, but could be much better. It has a weak point at the throat that is delicate, and I've had to repair it with epoxy putty.
