A couple friends and I took this beauty for a few test cuts myself with some regular water bottles, and some 2-liter bottles. This cut right through all of them without a problem. I even stood a water bottle up on end and swung the axe horizontally and it just sailed on through. Seeing as we were setting the water bottles on a tree stump though, we inevitably sunk the blade into the stump several times. But even so, it's still razor sharp.

My new favorite

This axe is flat-out amazing. I will say right now though, that I didn't actually buy this axe from Swords of Might, but if you do, you won't be disappointed. It's cheap (price-wise), sharp, and sturdy as hell. It is a lot bigger than what you'd imagine from the picture, which I like anyway. The blades are thick, and practically razor sharp. It's actually almost as sharp as a really good katana. Both me and my brother accidentally cut ourselves on the blade by just grazing it. But even as sharp as this axe is, believe me, it is durable. The handle and axe head are both extremely sturdy. No wobbling or loose parts whatsoever. The handle is also quite wide, and provides a great grip. The only thing I wasn't expecting was a rectangular chunk of steel at the top of the axe head, which actually helps keep the head on, along with the rivets. I can tell you right now, I would take this into battle over many other swords, even some katanas. Jason, if you're reading this, please do a video review and demonstration of this axe. Maybe some tatami mats, or logs if you really want. Just please do a video of this beauty in action.

The axe you've been waiting for.

This is a quality piece. my criteria is period, or period quality. this is the axe you've been waiting for. It is heavy, sturdy, very sharp, looks mean and perfect, the way a battle axe should. definitely worth the money.
