Excellent Sword for the Price
Andrew H. Moyer (Coal Township, PA) 2/23/2010 12:55 AM
This forged blade Hamon and related parts are of excellent quality by Ryumon sword makers. The Horimono is excellent and can be compared to swords that are more expensive. The Saya and Tsuka are of excellent quality. The workmanship is similar to Chen's swords and done with pride. The blade is balanced and can be moved with ease for combative drills! However be careful not to damage the beautiful Saya with each draw since it beautiful. I give this blade the top rating and it is sharp!

Very nice sword
Streiffy (Unknown) 3/24/2009 7:46 PM
The sword came with very few and insignificant imperfections. there was one finite dent on the very lower part of the edge. It did not affect performance or looks. Also the saya is a bit loose of a fit. No big problem. The saya is more beautiful than it is in the pictures. Just magnificent. The blade has a nice hamon, very sharp edge (it cuts effortlessly through 3-5" trees on my property), and a big, bad, 3 inch kissake!! :-D!!! The fittings are very tight; the tsuba is a work of art. As for service, shipping doesn't matter much to me, but just for the record, it shipped faster than anything else I've ever ordered via internet sites. Overall great buy if you like your sword to be both functional and elegant. Thanks for a great 1st purchase, SOM! I'll be back...

Ryumon Senshi Tengoku

What a beautiful sword. The blade is thick, razor sharp and has a mirror finish and the engraving is deep and has sharp detail. The tsuba is high quality as is the saya. As always dealing with Jason and Swords of Might is a pleasure, like talking to a good friend. This is my second multiple and definitely not my last purchase from him.

A truly practical blade
(Unknown) 2/12/2008 11:43 PM
This is the first katana I've gotten that I'm incredibly pleased with. In the past I'd always bought Hanwei blades but was running out of design options from them, so I decided to try Ryumon. To put it simply, I was incredibly impressed. This katana is made very well in all sense of the word. The only reason I put a 4 instead of a 5 is cause I felt the hamon line could have been a bit better. Its there, but I like one thats more viewable. Still, everything else about it is pretty much as good as it gets. No loose pieces, highly sharp blade, real thick so you know its resilient, the o-kissaki (point) is real long so you know its capable of stabbing, and they put a nice design on the blade itself. The blade is a bit heavy, but I just look at it as something to work up to. Overall, it don't get much better than this one in the carbon steel line.

Great swords

This company really knows their stuff about swords. Their customer service was one of the best I've ever experienced. They were more than willing to help me out when an order went wrong, but in no time at all everything was fixed and I had my sword again. This is really a company you can trust.
