I recently received two of these bokken (about half an hour ago, in fact) and I have to say I'm quite pleased. They are all unique, well, the two I have are. They're slightly darker than in the picture, but they look great. The cord wrapping feels good in the hands. Also, I'm not sure if it's just me, but the two I received differ in weight by about 6-7oz (ounces), but I'm grateful; I can use one as a sparring bokken and the other as a Suburi (practice swinging) bokken until my strength builds up enough to wield it effortlessly. I gave this product a four due to the fact that, since I haven't even had them a full day, I have yet to test their durability, but I'm sure that as long as I don't use them like a sledge hammer, they'll last me a long time. Thanks Swords of Might for a great product! Might I add, that the shipping was quite fast; the order was placed on the 16th of may through mail order and they arrived on the 5th of June. Just shy of three weeks which is, all things considered, great service.

This was a pretty good buy for 10 bucks. I ordered 2 bokkens and the only beef I have with them is that one is slightly longer than the other one just by 1 inch or so. The bokkens are sturdy and nicely made. I give the samurai bokken 4.5 only because the end of the handle wrapping slips of a little. I'll do buisness with som again.

this is the first bokken i've bought and, as far as weight is concerened, it feels very similar to the katana i got with it (the tsuka is wider). The wood is pretty solid and the cord is nicely wrapped. The only thing i didn't like was that the rubber stopper (what would be the habaki) is white and not black as shown in the picture, although it may be just mine. Overall, very good bokken, i'll use it for practice but it is solid enough to be a weapon on its own right
