eeehhhhh, ya get what ya pay for

The first review mentioned that the stand sits to short. Agreed! And I'm 5'10 on a good day. Now, I'm not saying it was the stands fault but I like to get by moneys worth and let's just say I shouldn't have tried that last cut(about 6 inches of mat left). Suffice it to say the stand did not survive. I will definitely make my own stand next time.

Must be this SHORT to use this stand...
Gordon Binkley (Colon, MI) 3/27/2011 12:04 AM
I have had this stand for over 5 years now, and I used it a couple of times. This stand is ok, comes with two brass "nails" for securing it to the floor or ground. It's heavy enough not to get knocked around by usage. The tube is glued to the bottom so don't drop it like I have and it won't come apart, but eventually it will over time. My biggest issue with this is that it's set so close to the ground the Tameshigiri Rolls come up too short for Taller practitioners. It's recommended that anybody taller then 5' 5" put the stand on, well, a stand.
