Zatoichi 2 Sword

I bought this sword mainly to torture test Ryumon as this is my first Ryumon katana I expected it to be of medium quality. When I received it though I was shocked at the razor edge and hamon line I decided to test it on a mat. Though the sword bent I didn't even feel the mat it was like cutting air, I proceeded by going to my friends wood pile. He had some logs he needed cut. The sword at first didn't bend even though it was cutting through 5inch thick wood in single swings. I figured I had used a wrong angle on the mat. Though the sword started to bend it was still cutting the wood beautifully the wood felt as though it had been expertly sanded. We continued until the handle split in two the blade was still intact and still sharp as when I first drew it. I will buy Ryumon in the future this was a great buy, well worth the money even for a torture test.

I ordered this sword being a fan of the old zatoichi and new zatoichi movies. This sword is very well made as it should be since it's from Ryumon. I got the matte black finish which has a great feel in the hands. The blade is very sharp and the polish is very nice. Also it is extremely light and very well balanced. There is no rattle what so ever and the sword fits snugly in it's saya. Great buy for any fan of the show or someone looking for a great collectors piece.
