This is a nice staff that impresses right out of the box. It comes wrapped in a clear plastic wrap that protects the natural finish on the staff, but you won’t be worried about nicking or damaging this thing. It has a nice weight and balance. It is straight with no warping. It feels strong when you hold it as it is made from solid oak. I immediately wanted to test it and tried it out on a body bag. You can deliver solid blows easily and quickly. There is no bending or vibration. For a 6 foot piece of solid oak, it feels light and maneuverable. A good purchase that will last a lifetime!

I’ve been with SOM for years, and they never disappoint. The best products for the best price. This red oak staff is one of the best staffs I’ve ever owned, period. Well-balanced, durable, and a nice weight to make it a great workout. The width was a tad bit over 1 inch, which was perfect for my big hands haha! And to think that it was only 17 bucks…you really can’t get a better deal than that. I strongly suggest you buy!
