I ordered this sword for a customer who backed out on the deal so I was stuck with it. Well, his loss! This is an incredible sword for the money. It has the presence of a much more expensive sword. The hamon is outstanding! I’m not even putting it out on the floor for sale, I’m keeping it. I did my homework before ordering and nobody could touch the price SOM had on this sword. That’s why they are, and will be, my go to Internet store for hard to find, and specialty items. Let me finish up by saying….as usual the ordering and shipping process was flawless. The standard order gives a 5 to 7 day arrival time. I got it in 2 days!!!

This is another great looking and sharp sword. The photo shows a saya that looks almost purple however it is really a well polished deep red stain and looks incredible.

I just got my sword today. I’m happy with the sword itself, its very nice. the saya is beautiful, the fittings are real tight and the hamon is nice. my only real complaint is that I was purposely trying to avoid the Ten Ryu brand due to the other reviews I have read. Not saying that their products are awful, just not what I was looking for. Maybe its just my ignorance of the swordmakers available, but the sword was listed under the Bushido brand. I guess Bushido is a Ten Ryu line of katanas? I dont like buying a product over the internet and recieving this kind of suprise. thats why the 4 stars. Still a fantastic sword for the money. allready had audible gasps when people have seen it and i have had it for about 45 min.

    Management Response:
All Masahiro and most Bushido swords are now made by Ten Ryu.

This sword is just lovely! The Saya is gorgeous, the fittings from the tsuba to the habiki are beautiful. ito is nice and tightly wrapped, and it fits nice and tight into the saya. It’s just a really beautiful sword, and with the price you can’t go wrong. The The fittings are top notch, and it’s easily capable of some light tameshigiri. Just a wonderful buy! Bushido really does a great job making swords that are really a bang for your buck, and I recommend this sword and the Bushido brand to someone in the market for an affordable, and nice looking Katana.

Aside from a sad lack of the gold-painted trimming shown in the picture, this katana arrived absolutely flawless and, might I say, stunning. Balanced amazingly and sharpened out of the box, its works great for practice – not that I’d dare risk damaging any part of this beauty.

Sakura Pearl First katana I’ve ever purchased, and a great sword. Clean and sharp right out of the box. Used it for tameshigiri and made great cuts. Beautiful inlay on saya. Recommend Swords of Might for any iaido practitioner.

“Good quality, one of the most beautiful sayas you’ll ever find, all for a fraction of its true value.

I’m so happy with it I stole a hobo’s thumbs and sewed them to my hands just so I could give it 4 thumbs up.”

This is a gorgeous sword! I bought this for my husband (who collects swords) as an anniversary present. The picture on this page does not do the sword justice. The craftsmanship with the saya is amazing. The sword itself is just as beautiful, and the blade is razor sharp. It was longer than I expected it to be! My husband loved it — does love it — and it’s got a prominent place in his collection. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase.

I got this sword as a gift, and I have to say it is absolutely stunning. It is a good quality, and truly beautiful, sword for a decent price. Mine lacks the gold inlay, but otherwise it matched the picture spot on. It has a sharp blade, and shipping was fast. All in all, both me and my friend agree it was well worth the money. 10 out of 10 would buy another.
